To unwind after a busy shift.

Because we look after people every single day, we need to make time to look out for ourselves too. Before heading home each day, take a few minutes to reflect as you come down off a shift.

  1. Take a moment to think about the day.

  2. Acknowledge one thing that was difficult during your working day - then let it go.

  3. Consider three things that went well.

  4. Check on your colleagues before you leave - are they OK?

  5. Are you OK? Your senior team are there to support you.

  6. Now switch your attention to heading home - rest and recharge.
